First you need to register and login using the menu links in the orange bar at the top of the gallery.

Please Note: The gallery and forum each need their own registration... if you have registered in the forum only, you will also need to register in the gallery.

Your "Gallery" is created automatically as part of this registration process, however images cannot be placed directly into your gallery, but must be placed within an album inside your gallery.

Think of it as the Gallery is your book shelf and it holds your photo albums that hold your photos.

So now that you are registered and logged in..... you should see some dark grey link boxes in the top left, one of which will say "Create / order my albums" ...Click this button.

Now you should see the "Album Manager" screen and towards the bottom right you will see a light grey box with "New" ...Click this button.

The screen will not change, but "New Album" should now appear in both the large text box (album list area) as well as in the one line dark grey text box bottom below. ...Rename "New Album" in this one line text box and click "Apply modifications"

That's it, you have created an Album inside your Gallery and you can make as many Albums as you wish.

To upload images......

Now that you have an album, simply click on "Upload Picture" that is in the top orange menu bar (you must be logged in to see this) You will be presented with the upload screen, where it is a simple matter of selecting your album from the drop down menu, browsing to your image file and filling in the text boxes.

Some points to remember....

1: Most important when uploading.... Make your own album and select it from the drop down menu, as the image will default upload to one of the "public" albums if your album is not selected.

2: As a Trial/Standard Member you have 25mb of disk space, so it is best if you resize your images to a maximum of 800-1000 pixels on the longest side and use jpeg compression to keep them down to a realistic size.... full size images will very quickly max out your gallery and be slow for people to view. For each image, a file size of no more than 400kb is recommended.

3: Cookies must be enabled in your internet settings to use the gallery, without them you will not see the full menus.

4: Please read and stay up to date with our gallery rules at viewforum.php?f=31

I hope this helps.
