Australian Digital Photo Of The Day Submissions:

By submitting to the ADPOTD competitions/galleries you are declaring that you fully understand the competition rules, as displayed in the Competition Rules page, failure to comply with the rules will result in your entry being rejected.

All images uploaded to our User Galleries  are considered eligible. Once registered, create an album for your image uploads as per the instructions at http://upload.potd.com.au   You may submit images to competition categories during the normal image upload process, by simply nominating the competition category in the space provided. The competition category is optional, but is required for Gold Member Featured competition.

If you already have an album and wish to submit a previously uploaded image to a competition category, you may enter the category via the "Edit description" link located under each album image. .

**Please do not modify or abbreviate these categories, as this will fail to see your image result in our database search when compiling images for the competition.

Judge's Choice   (Use this when you are unsure of which category suits your image best or if you feel that it falls outside the other categories. The ADPOTD Judges will then consider the entry for the category that, in their opinion, is most suitable. Images that are not suitable for existing categories will be remain eligible for the competition and continue to be considered under the "Judge's Choice" category.  Any subject matter is acceptable in this category.) 

* New categories may be added from time to time and these will be displayed in the category drop-down menu on the upload page.

Recommended minimum image size for competition is 600 pixels ( on longest side) sRGB JPEG no greater than 300kb.  This size will allow for good web reproduction while enabling many images to be stored in your 5mb user gallery.  Images will remain eligible for selection as long as it remains in your gallery.  Once (if) your image is displayed in the competition pages, you are free to remove it, as it is then stored independently of your user gallery. 

Should your image be chosen as a prize winner, ADPOTD will request a large high resolution version of the image, for publication in "Camera" magazine.  Please ensure that you keep this high res version available, as the smaller web ready images will not be suitable for magazine reproduction.

At this stage entry to all competitions is FREE, however the "Featured Category" competitions are open to "financial" Gold Members only.
